Brad Baylis

President

Robert B. (Brad) Baylis is a 1981 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station. He is currently the President of City Wide Mechanical, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. He has served in the capacity of President for 8 years and was Vice President prior. Brad has served on the Board of ASA North Texas off and on for approximately 9 years. He is married to Sherrie Baylis and they have two children, Kyle and Jessica, who are also graduates of A&M. In his spare time Brad enjoys playing the guitar and banjo as well as photography, hunting and fishing. Brad lives in Carrollton, Texas.

Michael Ward

Michael is the Director of Preconstruction and Business Development for Greater Metroplex Interiors (GMI) offices in DFW, Austin, and Houston. He is responsible for maintaining and fostering new client relationships and leading the efforts of the preconstruction team. Prior to GMI Michael worked for a larger general contractor in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and held several different positions. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology with over 12 years experience in the commercial construction industry.

Jason Wroblewski

Jason Wroblewski is Vice President of Project Management for Haley-Greer Inc. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and also received an International Studies Certificate. Jason joined Haley-Greer Inc. in 2004 and the ASA NTX board in 2014.

Lee Ann Collins, CPA, is the Managing Partner of Lane Gorman Trubitt, PLLC (“LGT”). In a career that spans more than three decades, she’s become a demonstrated leader in the financial services industry providing audit, tax, and consulting solutions to clients in the construction, manufacturing, and not-for-profit sectors. A long-time advocate for women in the workforce, Ms. Collins is only the second woman in LGT’s 65-year history to serve as managing partner. She is a frequent speaker at state and local events helping educate other accounting professionals about financial reporting matters and the latest taxation developments. An avid photographer and traveler, Ms. Collins enjoys time outside the office with her husband Skip and two sons.

Rusty Vaughn

Rusty Vaughn joined TexasAirSystems as a Sales Engineer in 1995 and became Vice President and Principal in 2002. Rusty is currently the Director of Strategic Project Acquisition for the Systems Sales group. Prior to joining Texas AirSystems, Rusty worked with MCC Powers and York International. Rusty holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Arkansas State University.

Rusty Vaughn currently serves as President of the American Subcontractors Association (ASA). In addition to his work with ASA, he is a member of ASHRAE, BOMA and NTAEE. Rusty is past president and currently on the honorary board of the Speedway Children’s Charities, Texas Chapter (SCC).

Ann Hicks

Ann Hicks

Director

Ann Hicks is Principal of Hicks Resource Consulting and is a Human Resources Professional with over 20 years of experience. She has been focusing on the construction industry since 1998 with a concentration in small to mid-sized contractors for over almost 10 years. With a broad generalist background, Ann can tailor her consulting expertise to the needs of a company from hiring/firing to employee handbooks and employee relations issues. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s of psychology and management.

Ann launched the ASA Future Leaders program in 2015 creating a curriculum focused on the next generation of leaders in our industry. She is very active in other areas of ASA, currently serving on the event’s and membership committees. She is the Chairman of the Board of the Dallas Women Contractors Owners and Executives. In her free time, she rides her motorcycle, knits and travels with family and friends.

Ann began the Magnolia Award – Women of the Year Award for ABC locally and took the award to National ABC, alongside her time served on the local ABC Board and National ABC/TEXO committees she won the Tim Underwood Distinguished Service Award twice.

Butch Burden

Butch Burden literally grew up in the mechanical business. Before he could drive, he was working on the jobsite and in the warehouse for Continental Mechanical Corporation. When Don Burden & Associates, Inc. was formed, he often spent Saturdays and always spent the summers working in the field as a laborer or helper. When Burden was a senior in high school, he passed the ASME Building Services pipe welding certification test. Burden graduated from the Texas A & M University School of Building Construction in 1985 and joined Don Burden & Associates, Inc. as a full time employee. During his managerial training process, he has functioned as superintendent, project manager and Vice-President.

On October 15, 1999, Butch was elected President of Don Burden & Associates, Inc. During Burden’s tenure as President, Don Burden & Associates, Inc. has successfully completed, both on time and profitably, over $300,000,000.00 in mechanical contracts.

As of December 2012 Burden also took the title of CEO.

During Burden’s tenure at DBA he has served in many roles but in the last 16 years has taken pride in conceptual budgeting and many design assist or design build roles.

Barry Duncan

Barry is Chief Financial Officer of Polk Mechanical Company. Having started his career as a CPA in public accounting, Barry has over 30 years of diverse experience in accounting services, treasury, information systems, Fortune 500 manufacturing, production control, mergers and acquisitions and international. He is a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Board Governance Fellow and is a member of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and Financial Executives International (FEI). Barry graduated from Southern Illinois University.

As project executive, Dale’s responsibilities
include oversight of the project manager,
field operations, and support personnel
involved in the construction process. He
ensures the processes and procedures
used by Prism to manage construction
projects including everything from
signing the contract through purchasing,
scheduling, manpower, billings, change
orders, close out, and warranty.

Doug comes to EyeSite Surveillance, Inc. with over 30 years of management experience, which includes 22 years in sales and marketing throughout the United States. He carries great experience in the marketplace, and a plethora of experience of investing in his local community. He will utilize these skills that have been honed over the years to help EyeSite Surveillance, Inc. continue its expansion as a leader in mobile site security in Texas.

Elmer Strieker

As chief executive officer of Striland Construction, Inc, Mr. Strieker offers thirty-nine years of administrative and financial experience in the construction industry. During the past thirty-five years he has been directly involved with all functions relating to the administration, coordination and fiscal responsibilities of Striland, a medium sized commercial concrete subcontractor. He is also a Certified Public Account, Certified Internal Auditor and serves as a Director on the following construction industry Boards, American Subcontractors Association of North Texas; American Subcontractors Association of Texas; and TEXO.

I have been in the commercial construction industry for 19 years. I started with a major aluminum supplier in the commercial glazing industry. Accepting a sales position with that company brought me to Texas. In 2009 I made the jump and began working for a glazing subcontractor. Two years ago I had a great opportunity at Lasco Acoustics & Drywall and have really enjoyed getting to know another trade in the commercial subcontracting business. Although the end product is different, we all face the same challenges.

Scott Roan, Senior Vice President, TDIndustries Special Projects

Scott is a 30 year veteran of the specialty mechanical contracting business. He is Senior vice president of the special projects group for TD Industries. Scott is LEED AP accredited and is a member of TDIndustries’ Senior Leadership.

Over the years Scott has been active in many industry organizations including ABC (including the board of directors), ASHRAE, TEXO. Scott is currently on the board of directors of ASA North Texas.

Fred Wilshusen

Fred Wilshusen

Fred D. Wilshusen is a partner in the Dallas, Texas law firm of Thomas, Feldman & Wilshusen, L.L.P., a law firm that concentrates in the area of construction law and related litigation. Thomas, Feldman & Wilshusen, L.L.P. and its predecessors have been the attorneys for ASA North Texas Chapter since 1974. Mr. Wilshusen is also the attorney for the Texas Construction Association. He is a former Chair of the Dallas Bar Association Construction Law Section and a former member of the Governing Council of the Texas State Bar Construction Law Section. Mr. Wilshusen is the co-author of the Texas Lien and Bond Claims Handbook, 6th Edition. Mr. Wilshusen is also a member of the American Arbitration Association Roster of Neutrals for the construction industry.

Beverly Reynal

Executive Director

Beverly Reynal is the Executive Director of the ASA North Texas Chapter. She has served in this role since 2014. Beverly has been in the DFW Construction Industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining the staff at ASA, Beverly was active in the ASA North Texas Chapter, NAWIC and TEXO, serving on the board of directors for both ASA and NAWIC. She had the honor of being selected as an ABC North Texas Chapter Magnolia Award Finalist. She graduated from Texas A&M University.

LaDell Tullos

LaDell Tullos

LaDell has been in the construction association business almost 26 years. The past 4 years with ASA North Texas as Events Coordinator for all special events and staff liaison to Events that include golf, clay shoot, cook out, bowling tournament, poker run, GC night, casino night, awards night and special lunch programs. Prior to ASA, LaDell worked 3 years with TEXO as Events Directors and 18.5 years with ABC North Texas with main focus as Events/Meetings Director along with membership, safety, and legislative efforts. Was a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) from 1985-2007.

Kelly Dando

Kelly Dando graduated from the University of Alabama with a BAS in English. She has been in the construction industry since 2005. She worked as Director of Business Development for a 8a Federal Contractor, Goel Services in Washington, DC. Prior to coming to ASA NT Kelly worked as Executive Director of Associated General Contractors of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee Branch. Kelly is party time with ASA NT as well as CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association) DFW, Houston, Central Texas, Heart of Texas & North East Florida. She resides in Trophy Club, Texas with her husband and two children.
